Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. For knights 180px logotheir support for the Church and local communities, as well as for their philanthropic efforts, the Order often refers to itself as the "strong right arm of the Church".

Today there are more than 15,000 councils around the world, and the Knights of Columbus is a multi-billion dollar non-profit charitable organization. Knights of Star of the Sea Parish Local 7015, take part in a wide range of activities to raise funds for worthwhile causes. A wide range of local charities are supported, bursaries are granted to parish students and Knights play a key role in efforts to support the right to life from conception to its natural end.

Knights also take part in patriotic events such as parades and formal ceremonies, appearing at events with their red capes, feathered chapeaux and ceremonial swords.
