The the Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic organization at the service of the Church under ecclesiastical guidance. The object of the Legion of Mary is the spiritual development of its members and advancing the reign of Christ through Our Lady.
Our unit of the Legion of Mary holds a weekly meeting on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00pm in the Fireside Room at Good Shepherd Church, where prayer and community-building are prioritized. If you would like to join us, you can drop by any Thursday afternoon at 4:00pm.
The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, in their homes, care facilities and in hospitals, and through collaboration in apostolic and missionary undertakings sponsored by the parish.
Every legionary is required to carry out a weekly apostolic work in the spirit of faith and in union with Mary. Our work consists of visiting seniors residences to say the Rosary with the residents, sharing Mother Mary with them through the Rosary, bringing smiles to so many who are lonely giving them something to look forward to, usually on a weekly basis.
