Men and women of our parish who dedicate one hour each week in silent prayer in the Adoration Chapel, located off the foyer in Good Shepherd Church. Spending time in adoration before the exposed Most Blessed Sacrament is our response to Our Lord’s invitation “Could you not watch one hour with Me?” (Mark 14:37)
By keeping the same hour each week, and with enough participants to cover 24 hour per day, 7 days per week, the Adoration Chapel is able to remain open for anyone wishing to drop in to pray at any time of the day or night. This hour Jesus wants you to spend with Him is spent any reverent way you want. You may bring your own prayer books, use the books in the chapel, meditatively read the Bible, pray the rosary, or just sit and relax and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being in the Presence of God.
